I've had a life-long affair with music, as a listener, percussionist, composer, and now a DJ. I'm Indian, have lived in too many countries, and am partial to big, bad, thumping cities that have a pulse of thier own. The music I spin reflects it... mbalax, cumbia, reggaeton, salsatron, merengue, house, gypsy, gnawa, rai, desi, afro-funk and else in a typical mix. There will be live drums and la clave if the beat needs it, or if I just plain feel like it.
